THE Myanmar Social Rescue Organization-Mandalay Region Committee announced that the rescue speedb oat operation and driving course 2/2025 will be opened again for five days this month, aiming to produce water rescuers.

 

The course is intended for coordinating search and rescue operations in water with speedboats in floods, and for producing systematic and highly capable water rescu­ers. The course will be opened from 11 to 15 June, covering topics such as types of rescue speed boats, inflatable boats, inflatable + fibre boats, fi­bre boats, aluminium boats (single/group driving) and lectures, rescue engines (18 horsepower/30 horsepower/40 horsepower/50 horsepower engines), repair and mainte­nance of rescue engines, and troubleshooting oil, water, fire faults with practical lessons.

 

Moreover, it will also teach effective solutions to difficulties encountered dur­ing water rescue operations, the nature of currents, still water, embarking, water res­cue techniques, high-perfor­mance Intelligent Life Buoy driving and rescue principles, Life Line Shooter methods, and Sonar & GPS methods. This course will be attend­ed by 50 participants, and it is mainly supported by KBZ Bank.

 

The course, which was opened from 25 to 30 May (Batch 1), was attended by some teams from Mandalay, Yangon, Taungoo, Ywangan, Monywa, Meiktila, Wandwin and Myitkyina with great in­terest. — MT/ZN
