A ceremony to destroy motorbike exhaust-pipes, which cause noise pollution, was held near the City Hall of Sagaing this morning.

According to the records of the Traffic Police Force, a total of 345 motorbikes which produce heavy noises were seized- 275 in 2018 and 70 from the beginning of the year 2019 till early April.

Actions will be taken on motorbikes with exhaust-pipes that produce heavy noises during this Myanmar’s New Year Thingyan Festival. The occasion was graced by departmental personnel, social organizations and local residents.
