An event to provide social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above was held at Ayeyar Oo hall in Kyangin Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday afternoon.

At the event, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Thein Tan, staff officer of the Township Disaster Management Department Daw Thida Oo and officials handed over social pension to respective ward and village Administrators for elderly people aged 85 and above in the Township.

Under this cash assistance program, a total of 896 elderly people in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for the months of April, May and June for 2022-2023 FY. There are 896 senior citizens from 35 village tracts in the Township.
