Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare presented social pension provided by the government to senior citizens above 85 years old amid the outbreak of COVID-19 in Leiktho sub-Township, Hpa-an District, Kayin State this morning on a door to door basis.

Under this cash aid program, seven senior citizens in the town received K 30000 each for the months of October, November and December in 2020-2021 FY.

There are reportedly 54 elderly people who are eligible for social pension from six wards and 19 village tracts in Leiktho sub-Township.—Nwe Nwe Khine
