Kyonpyaw, 20 September

Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement disbursed social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above in Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Region on a door to door basis on 19 September.

Under this cash aid program, 1313 elderly people who are eligible to receive social pension in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for the months of July, August and September in this fiscal year.

There are eight wards and 89 village tracts in Kyonpyaw Township. Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare and General Administration Department paid a domiciliary visit to the homes of senior citizens in villages and wards in the Township and dispensed social pension.—Lapae Oo(IPRD)
