Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare and the Township General Administration Department dispensed social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above on a door to door basis in Thandwe Township, Rakhine State yesterday.

There are a total of 1247 elderly people in Thandwe Township. Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare and the Township General Administration Department made a domiciliary visit to provide social pension to the homes of elderly people in the town and nearby villages and provided social pension to them.

Under this cash assistance program, a total of 1247 elderly people in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for three months for 2022-2023 FY.—District IPRD
