A prize-awarding ceremony of the 18th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contests organized by the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) was held at the Sinphyushin hall in the Transit Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and presented the trophy.

 

Winners of group prizes for magic, modern music and group Myanmar music were presented with prizes by Psychological Warfare and Public Relations committee Chairman Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein. Winners of group prizes for Myanmar traditional palace dance, Myanmar traditional select dance, traditional ethnic dance were presented with prizes by Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo. Winners of group dance prize and group play prize were presented with prizes by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win.

 

Next, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presented the 18th inter-military performing arts, dramatic performance, play and magic show contest trophy to the No 2 Mobile Public Relations Company. Afterwards Tatmadaw personnel who had competed in the competitions performed songs and dances.

 

The Senior General then presented cash prizes to competitors and judges, discussed and gave necessary comments regarding the competition and performance.

 

Later in the afternoon the second part of the prize awarding ceremony was held where prizes were handed out to the winners by Public Relations and Psychological Warfare Directorate Director Maj-Gen Tun Tun Nyi, Deputy Director Col Ye Yint Aung, advisers, judges and officials.

 

A total of 312 Tatmadaw personnel participated in 35 types of competitions according to news released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
