Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is visiting the Russian Federation, received Mr. Mikhail Arkadievich Dmitriev, Chairman of the Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association, and party at the Metropol Hotel on 16 August.

At the meeting, they discussed matters related to further cooperation for strengthening the friendship between the two armed forces, win-win cooperation in business sector in the areas of import and export and building economic cooperation centres, assistance from Russia in generating electricity without damaging the environment, promoting the tourism sector between the two countries through the friendship associations and assistance from Russia for bilateral military technology, education and cultural cooperation. 

The Senior General and party visited the Gorky Park and Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow yesterday. At the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, an official detailed about the cathedral including its history and renovation to the Senior General, according to news released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.—MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
