Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party, who are on a goodwill visit to Thailand at the invitation of Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces General Ponpipaat Benyasri, paid a visit to Wat Bodhisomphon Temple in Udon Thani Province yesterday.

 


After paying homage to the Buddha image and sacred relics in the precinct of the temple, the Senior General, his wife and party paid obeisance to Abbot Sutti Sala May Tee and donated offerings and cash for nine prerequisites.

 


Afterwards, they paid obeisance to 600-year Buddha Image made of gold, bronze and metal donated by Laos and 120-year Buddha’s footprint and poured water at 90-year Bodi tree in the precinct of the temple.

 


Then, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party left Wing 23 Airbase of the Royal Thai Air Force for Bangkok. At the airbase, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing took the salute of Guard of Honour of the Royal Thai Air Force.

 


Afterwards, the Senior General and party arrived at Don Muong Airport Wing 6 Airbase of the Royal Thai Air Force in Bangkok where they were welcomed by Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo Myint Than, Major-General Nopadon Mungkalaton of the Royal Thai Air Force and officials.

 


Next, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party were hosted a working dinner by Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Ponpipaat Benyasri and wife Sala Tim Naam at the Thai traditional restaurant, according to the news released by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. —MNA (Translated by TMT)
