Shan State MPs oversee rural developmental tasks in Mongphyat

Mongphyat 19 March

The Shan State lawmakers together with Chairman of the township management committee U Thet Lwin inspected construction of a rural road in Mongphyat Township, Shan State yesterday morning.

Shan State MPs U Sai Kyauk and U Arr Ko looked into progress for construction of an inter-village road being built by a private company with over Ks. 112 million allotted by the Department of Rural Development in the financial year 219-2020. They called for site officials for timely completion of the project, meeting the set standard.

The rural road measuring 1.1 mile long, 16 ft. wide and 6 inch thick will help local people who once suffered poor transport barriers export their products to other areas, said a local.—Shaw La Mung
