Shan United’s fans were also fined Ks. 1 million for throwing water bottles, stones, and slippers into the pitch in a match between the Taunggyi-based club and Yangon United, said the MFF.
The Myanmar National League match 2019 between Shan United and Yangon United was held at Shan State Stadium on 23 June in Taunggyi. A controversial dispute erupted during the match that was stopped about 30 seconds, according to the Myanmar Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee.
The committee launched a probe into the case through reports submitted by the referees and CCTV records. Shan United’s fans were fined Ks. 1 million for their unacceptable behaviors during the match.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
