THE pre-match press conference for the 2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship Group A final match, where Cambodia’s Svay Rieng FC will compete against My­anmar’s Shan United FC was held yes­terday in Cambodia. Both teams’ coaches and team captains attended the event.

 

Shan United FC’s coach, Japanese national Hiroki remarked, “The opposing team has some excellent attackers and one of their wing players is particularly strong for Southeast Asia. To avoid con­ceding goals, we’ve ensured thorough preparation for this match”.

 

Shan United FC’s captain Nanda Kyaw stated, “While the result of this match won’t affect our progression from the group stage, we will still be facing them in the AFC Challenge League in March. So, both the coaches and players are fully prepared”.

 

Svay Rieng FC and Shan United FC will compete today at 7 pm Myanmar Standard Time in Cambodia. Although neither team has the chance to progress further in the competition, they will face off again in the quarterfinals of the 2024- 2025 AFC Challenge League in March, where they will prepare for their encoun­ter. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
