An event to present land compensation to farmers whose farmlands were once confiscated by the Ministry of Education was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Shwepyitha Township, Yangon Region this morning.

On the occasion, Regional Lawmaker for Constituency (1) U Yan Aung Min gave an opening speech and Director of the Department of Education U Aung Kyaw Oo explained the aim of land compensation.

Next, the township administrator clarified matters relating to the land compensation and presented Ks. 82.2 million to the farmers through a representative.—Nay Myo Tun (Shwepyitha)
