Singapore women’s football team to undergo training in Myanmar

Singapore women’s football team will visit Myanmar to play a friendly match ahead of the 2019 AFF Women’s Championship, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.
    

 

The cost for the training trip to Myanmar will be borne by the Football Association of Singapore. Singapore women’s football team will be playing a warm-up against Myanmar U-19 women’s squad at Bahan artificial pitch at 4 p.m. on 13 July. Daw Thet Thet Win as head coach leads the team that consists of 30 tentative players plus 9 coaching staff. The squad underwent training since 1 July for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship to be hosted by Thailand.

 


The trip will be the third of its kind for Singaporean women’s football teams. Singapore U-16 and U-19 women’s football team also underwent training in Myanmar.—MFF
