At least six people were injured when a truck hit a passenger train in Ye Township, Taninthayi Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
    

The accident took place between mileposts 239/16 and 239/17 near Hnit Kayin railway station in Ye Township, Mon State at about 1:15 p.m. on 11 August. A truck carrying rocks crashed into a passenger train bound for Ye from Yangon while crossing an illegal level junction, resulting in the derailment of train. Six people from the passenger train were hurt in the incident.
    

The driver of the truck named Zaw Min Oo, 29, from Hnit Kayin Village, Lamai Town has been opened a case over reckless driving by the police.
