Slight earthquake hits Mawlaik Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded this morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.

 

 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 15 miles southeast of Mawlaik Township in Sagaing Region. It was recorded at 11:00 a.m. today at a latitude of 23.56°N, and longitude of 94.63°E, with a depth of 102 kilometers and about 49 miles southwest of the Tamu seismological observatory, said the DMH.—DMH
