No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded this morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar shook about 20 miles west-northwest of Mogaung Township in Kachin State. It was recorded at 7:44 a.m. today at a latitude of 25.34°N, and longitude of 96.60°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers and about 50 miles west of the Myitkyina seismological observatory, said the DMH.—DMH
