Slight earthquake shakes near Namsang, no casualties reported

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake near Namsang Township, Southern Shan State which was recorded this morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.

 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 36 miles east of Namsang Township, Shan State. It was recorded at 11:26 a.m. today at latitude of 20.85°N, and longitude of 98.27°E, with a depth of 6 kilometers and about 33 miles south of the Namsang seismological observatory, the DMH said.—DMH
