A ceremony to give 12th small loans from China Exim Bank to cooperative syndicates in the townships in Kayin state was held at the meeting hall of the state Cooperative Department yesterday morning.
First, Kayin state Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Minister U Saw Myint Oo made a speech and then deputy director U Aung Min of the state Cooperative Department dealt with the situation of giving loans.
Then, the state minister and officials gave loans amounting to K 3747.81 to 236 cooperative syndicates which have a total of 13935 members who had applied for loans from China Exim Bank. The loans given today came from China and have been disbursed to the cooperative syndicates once every six months with an interest rate of 2 percent.
Awards were given to cooperative syndicates that earliest paid back 11th loans.—Saw Myo Thien ( IPRD)
