An event to disburse social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above was held at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department in Chaungzon Township, Mawlamyine District of Mon State this morning.

At the event, chairman of the Township Administration Council U Zaw Naing Win clarified the disbursement of social pension to elderly people. Afterwards, U Zaw Naing Win and members handed over a total of Ks. 28.53 million to chairmen of respective village administration council.

Under this cash aid program, 951 elderly people who are eligible to receive social pension from 46 village tracts in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for the months of July, August and September.—Chaungzone(IPRD)
