A ceremony to provide elderly people over 85-year old with social pension was held at the General Administration Department in Shweku Township, Bhamo District, Kachin State yesterday.

First, MP U Zarni Min of Pyithu Hluttaw gave opening remarks and Township Administrator clarified the purpose of provision. 

Next, the officials provided a total of K 5,880,000 to a total of 196 elderly people at a rate of K 10,000 per month through Heads of wards and villages.
