A ceremony to furnish social pension to elderly people over 85-year old in Minhla Township, Bago Region was held at the office of the Township General Administration Department this morning.

On the occasion, Deputy Township Administrator U Myo Kyaw clarified the purpose of providing social pension and stressed to collect the accurate lists of the elderly. Then an official from the Social Welfare Department handed over social pension for three months at a rate of K 10,000 per person to respective village administrators who will make domiciliary visit to the elderly and issued pensions.
