The Ministry of Labour’s Social Se­curity Board, in collaboration with the Royal Dragon clinic provided healthcare services to registered Ministry of Infor­mation (MoI) employees covered by the social security scheme. These services were delivered via mobile medical units yesterday morning at the Ministry of In­formation’s vehicle parking compound.

 

Social security-covered staff from various departments and enterprises under the Ministry of Information re­ceived healthcare services including medical check-ups, medication, labo­ratory tests, ECGs for heart health and other necessary treatments. Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Per­manent Secretary U Win Kyaw Aung and other officials observed and encouraged healthcare services.

 

The Social Security Board provides healthcare services as part of imple­menting its social security scheme through three major hospitals, 96 town­ship social security clinics, 61 depart­mental clinics, 68 contracted clinics, 48 outpatient maternity clinics, 16 con­tracted maternity hospitals and delivery rooms and one traditional medicine clinic.

 

These healthcare services are also delivered through two township social security clinics, four departmental clin­ics, four contracted clinics, and three outpatient maternity clinics in the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. As part of the first phase of its initiative, the board plans to continue providing health­care services in 2025 to 18,631 insured workers from 239 covered departments between 2 January and 27 February. — MNA/KZL
