MR Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and special envoy of ASEAN Chair left Yangon on the morning of 23 March 2022. He was seen off at the Yangon International Airport by U Kyaw Myo Htut, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before his departure, on the morning of 22 March 2022, the special envoy, in his separate programmes, met with Representatives from the UN Specialized Agencies in Yangon and the Chairman of the People’s Party.

In the afternoon, he visited the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) warehouse where humanitarian assistance such as medical equipment and supplies are being kept. In the evening, he had dinner with Ambassadors and Charge’ d’affaires from the ASEAN Member States. —MNA
