The sports activities to mark the 82nd anniversary of Kayin New Year kicked off at a sport ground in Kyaikdon Town, Kayin State this morning.

On the occasion, patron of the event organizing committee Lt-Col Saw Dor Dor and the tactical commanding officer delivered addresses. Next, cheering teams performed entertainment and the participating teams took position and saluted the chairman of the event organizing committee. The sport activities include football, volleyball, Sepak Takraw and traditional boxing contests.

Also present on the occasion were Town Administrator U Min Zaw, departmental officials, local people and sport enthusiasts.—Than Tun Naing (IPRD)
