Shwegu, January 30 
    

A ceremony to open a standard clinic was held in Shwe Chaungtha village in Shwegu township, Kachin state yesterday morning. 

First, MP U Tin Oo Yu and U Mya Thein of the state Hluttaw, township administrator U Toe Toe Win, Dr Sai Tun from the township Health Department and village administrator U Khin Maung Tint cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the clinic and then sprinkled scented water on the signboard of the clinic. 

Then, after the two MPs giving opening speeches, Dr Sai Tun reported on the aim of opening the clinic. Afterward, a community leader spoke word of thanks. Then, U Aung Maw, person in charge of San Shin Htoo Company handed over documents relating to the clinic to the township Public Health Department, before receiving a certificate of honour for the donation of the clinic awarded by officials. 

Also present at the event were departmental personnel, chairman and members of Shwegu township NLD party, health staff and local people.—Kyaw Myo Aung (IPRD)
