Sate Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, in her capacity as Chairperson of the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), participated in a virtual meeting on smooth flow of commodities nationwide yesterday.
The meeting discussed the importance of smooth flow of commodities which is directly related to price stability and the public’s livelihoods; difficulties in testing truck drivers and their mates for COVID-19, plans to test them with COVID-19 rapid test kits, collecting fair prices for testing with the rapid test kits and cooperation between regions and states.
After the discussions, State Counsellor Daw Aung Suu Kyi gave guidance and necessary decisions.
The online meeting was joined by Union Minister for the Office of the Union Government U Min Thu, Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htwe, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung, Regions/States Chief Ministers, and Secretaries of the COVID-19 national committee U Zaw Than Thin and Dr Thet Khaing Win. — MNA
