State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi held a dinner reception for the chairpersons, secretaries and members of the Myanmar Calendar Advisory Group, Myanmar Central Thabin Association, and Myanmar Arts and Crafts Association at the Mingalar Thiri Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.


Union Ministers U Kyaw Tint Swe, Thura U Aung Ko and U Thaung Tun, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chariman Dr. Myo Aung, Deputy Minister U Kyi Min, departmental heads and officials attended the dinner reception.


Firstly, the State Counsellor had a commemorative photo taken with all in attendance. Union Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister Thura U Aung Ko then gave a short speech where he explained the history and objectives of the Myanmar Calendar Advisory Group, the Myanmar Central Thabin Association, and the Myanmar Arts and Crafts Association. He said these three organizations were invited to voice their opinions for future plans to the State Counsellor during this meeting. He said the State Counsellor would ask questions on what she wished to understand deeply and provide appropriate suggestions and instructions as necessary.

 

Next, U Tin Nwe (Sayar Nwe), Chairman of the Myanmar Arts and Crafts Association, handed over a portrait of the State Counsellor to her.


The State Counsellor then held open discussions with members from the three attending organizations and enjoyed dinner together with them. —MNA
