State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received the delegation led by Mr. Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, at 10:00 a.m on 23 May 2019 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
 

During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters relating to the extension of the MoU signed between the Government of Myanmar, UNDP and UNHCR on 6 June 2018, implementation of the community-based Quick Impact Projects (QIPs), voluntary return of verified Myanmar nationals from the temporary camps along the Myanmar-Thailand border in Thailand, and provision of assistance by UNHCR in the efforts of the Government of Myanmar for ensuring peace and development in Myanmar.
 

Also present at the meeting were Union Minister from the Ministry of the Office of the State Counsellor U Kyaw Tint Swe and the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.—MNA
