State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has posted a message on her Facebook page today concerning the individuals who have been released from quarantine.
She said they should not forget that there was a very grave danger that they could get infected with the COVID-19 virus if they did not follow the rules, regulations, and directives announced by the Health Authorities.
We need to meet the COVID-19 challenge like a long distance runner. We need to conserve our strength to last for the long haul. We will need to transition this period on a day to day basis in the right way without losing our balance so that we would not waste our energy.
Worrying too much does not mean that a person is alert. It just means that this individual has faltered towards the extreme because he or she lacked focus. I have noticed that there have been instances where legal action had to be taken because some individuals reacted in an unruly and rude manner in response to actions performed in the line of duty.
The Ministry of Health and Sports is planning to supply masks in sufficient quantity. How about sewing masks at home? We had to think about this also. I’m now sewing a mask on a trial basis.
Our most difficult hour is actually a time when the light of Metta (loving kindness) and good will shines brightest.
I’d like to express my thanks to all our people for their support and contributions in combatting the COVID-19 disease.
May you all be safe enveloped with Metta!
May you all succeed armed with good will!
