THE State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee held its first coordination meet­ing in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

During the meeting, Com­mittee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein discussed solar projects to produce meat and eggs, finan­cial support to improve the man­ufacturing sector, granted loans and repayment of the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Min­istry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 14 region and state governments, six self-ad­ministered zones and division between 1 September 2022 and 31 December 2024, suspension of capital and interest payment for certain natural disasters, re­ports on granted loans to replant flood-hit monsoon paddy fields in Ayeyawady Region, systematic inventory for loans to offer as per the financial procedures, sys­tematic supervision and data of regions and state management committees and work comple­tions based on the findings of the Union Auditor-General’s Office.

 

Union Minister for Agricul­ture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung and attendees re­ported on summer paddy, mon­soon paddy and edible oil crop projects in 2023-2024, ongoing plans to make contracts for mon­soon paddy loans and monsoon peanut loans in 2024-2025, loans for the livestock breeding sector, plans to supply irrigation wa­ter, granted loans to oil millers and plans to increase the loan amount.

 

The secretary of the com­mittee and other attendees coor­dinated the discussion regarding the extension of the loan period, digging wells and installation of water pumps and solar systems using the fund.
