With a view to brining about job opportunities for local people and boosting income generation, a steelware producing course was opened at the monastery of Htantawgon village, Pauk township, Magway region yesterday morning.

MP U Aung Than of the Region Hluttaw made an opening speech on the occasion and Head of the Township Rural Development Department Daw Aye Aye Thant clarified the purpose of the course.

The 15-day course is being attended by 15 trainees from villages and wards in the township.

The Township Rural Development Department conducted 14 training courses in total from 2015-2016 fiscal year to 2018-2019 fiscal year, it is learnt.—Nyan Toe (Pauk)
