Local authorities seized 550 stimulant tablets near milepost 59/1 on Kalaw-Thazi Road near Yaeya Village, Kalaw Township, Shan State (South) yesterday afternoon.

 

Acting on a tip-off, police members led by Police Inspector Aung Ko Ko  from Taunggyi Ati-Drug Squad-25 and police members led by  Police Inspector San Lwin from Kalaw Myoma Police Station together with witnesses intercepted a motorbike  driven by Bo Zaw, 33, son of U Hla Shwe from Taunggyi township and confiscated 550000 stimulant tablets weighing 55 grams worth K 550000 from him.

 

The authorities filed charges against Bo Zaw under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
