Officials from the Department of Disaster Management provided cash and kind to the storm victims at the office of General Administration Department in Thayawady Township, Bago Region yesterday.
17 houses collapsed and at least 114 house’s roofs flipped over after a gusty wind swept through 14 village-tracts and three wards in Thayawady Township from 28 to 30 May. A Buddhist monk died and one person was killed by the lightening in the township.
Officials from the DDM supplied cash assistance and 16 types of relief items to the storm victims on a door-to-door basis.
