A ceremony to furnish relief items to storm victims in Mawlu, Indaw Township, Sagaing Region was held at Mawlu Administrative Office this morning.

At the ceremony, Minzeyar Ward Administrator U Moe Swe clarified the purpose of provision by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. Next, a total of 59 households from six wards, who suffered

the strong winds that hit Mawlu on 15 April, were provided relief items and cash aids.

“The storm victims were given cash aids between K 20,000 and 75,000 according to their loss of properties. In addition, they were also provided relief items”, said U Myint Kyaw from Minchantha Ward Administrator.
