An event to provide cash assistance to storm victims was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Taninthayi Township on August 24.
    

39 homes and one religious building from 22 villages in 12 village-tracts in the township were damaged or collapsed after gusty winds swept through the area in early this month following the heavy rains. On the occasion, Township Administrator U Soe Win Naing gave a speech.
    

Next, the township administrator, Deputy Township Administrator U Min Than Htike Soe and an official from the Department of Disaster Management presented cash to the storm victims and one of the storm victims spoke words of thanks. 
    

A total of K 5.6 million were supplied to the storm victims during the event and no casualties were reported in the incidents.
