Strong winds and torrential rains have collapsed and flipped over some houses in Moenyo Township, Bago Region on 14 October.

The widespread of gusty winds have triggered to collapse one house and flip over four houses in the township at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday. But no casualties were reported due to the gale-force winds. The estimated loss of property due to the strong winds is Ks. 445,000.

A plan is underway to repair the collapsed houses and local authorities and villagers are assisting in the reconstruction tasks, according to a source from the township management committee.
