Pale 14 May
Strong winds and torrential rains have damaged pagodas, collapsed concrete lamp posts and flipped over some houses in Pale Township, Sagaing Region on 13 May.

The widespread of gusty winds have triggered to collapse two pagodas in Ingyinsu Village, break down 28 concrete lamp posts from two villages, and destroy 21 houses from two villages in the township at about 6 p.m. yesterday. But no casualties were reported due to the gale-force winds.

A plan is underway to repair the damaged pagodas, replace new concrete power poles and reconstruct the collapsed houses, according to a source from the township management committee.—IPRD
