Mohnyin 19 April

Strong winds hit Indawgyi region in Mohnyin Township, Mohnyin District, Kachin State in the morning of April 18 and it destroyed 35 houses and some buildings. 

Due to the strong winds, roofs of 26 houses in Mongnaung village in the township were flipped over and fence of BEHS (Mongnaung) and Rural Clinic Center were also destroyed.

Likewise, roofs of nine houses and two staff housings in BEHS (Shwelattpan) in Shwelattpan village were also flipped over. Furthermore, BEPS (Laeponlay) and Shwelattpan Monastery also experienced the risk of strong winds. 

Officials from village administrative team and members of fire brigade cleared the damages in the schools and monastery.
