Strong winds hit Shwedaung Township yesterday and roofs of houses, monasteries, rural health center and schools in wards and villages in Shwedaung Township were destroyed.

 

Due to the strong winds, a total of seven houses collapsed and house roofs of 149 houses were flipped over. In addition, roofs of two monasteries, one nunnery, one rural health care center and one school building were also blown over by the winds. A total of 564 people from 157 households experienced storm effects. Therefore, arrangements are being made to evacuate storm victims into other safety places and to provide them relief items by the officials. No casualties were reported in the incident.
