Subcommittees for centenary celebrations of Myanmar film industry held their coordination meetings at the Film Promotion Division under the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) in Bahan Township, Yangon, yesterday.
Patrons of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization and attendees shared their experiences of previous celebrations of the film industry’s anniversaries at the displaying booths subcommittee’s third meeting.
The meeting also discussed producing and selling of souvenirs, entertainments on vehicles, drawing 3D portrait paintings of public figures, opening restaurants, film industry’s centenary celebration published in periodicals and displaying stent stalls.
They also detailed delegation of tasks, arrangements for playing short films created by youth filmmakers, photo sessions for fans with artists, and cooperation with international artists.
The organizing competition subcommittee held its fourth meeting in which its chairman U Kyi Soe Tun said about the competitions of essay, short film, documentary film, cartoon and movie quiz, and explained the competitions’ rules and disciplines.
Following the discussions of secretary of the subcommittee U Aye Kyu Lay and attendees, the meeting was concluded with the chairman’s remark.
