A ceremony to conclude a free basic summer English proficiency course, organized by the Township IPRD and Youth Philanthropic Group, was  held at the community center of the Township IPRD in Bago Region yesterday.

First of all, course instructor Daw Ohnmar Tun delivered an opening speech. This was followed by the presentation of the completion certificates to the students by officials from the township IPRD, Fire Services Department and Youth Philanthropic Group.

The course is the fourth of its kind opened in the township in which staff officer of the Township IPRD Daw Ei Thein Htike clarified the purpose of the course. “The course was opened to improve the English Language skills of the students” she said.

The course which ran from May 30 to June 2 was attended by 16 students.—Zin Min Htike
