A ceremony to wrap up a summer sports course was held in Dedaye Township, Pyapon District, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday.

At the event, deputy Administrator U Ko Ko Oo delivered a closing speech. Afterwards, Member of the Township Administration Council Major Mon Myat Thu Soe presented gifts to course instructors. This was followed by the presentation of prizes to outstanding trainees by departmental officials.

With the aim of enhancing health and fitness of the students, the Township Sports and Physical Education Department organized a summer sports course at the township stadium in Dedaye Township. The 15-day training course which ran from May 10 to 24 was attended by 150 trainees from villages and wards in the township.

The course covers futsal, Sepak takraw, Myanmar traditional martial arts, volleyball and tennis.—Township IPRD
