Wuntho, December 12 
    

A huge crowd of supporters gathered at the independence monument ground in the town of Wuntho, Katha district, Sagaing region this morning. 

The mass rally was organized in support for a delegate led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who are currently in the Netherlands to defend the interests of the state over a lawsuit brought against Myanmar at International Court of Justice by Gambia.  A total of 500 supporters including monks, nuns, departmental staff, town elders, members of social organizations and local people participated in the rally. 

Setting off from the independence monument ground, the supporters marched round the market and shouted slogans.—Kyaw Myaing (IPRD)
