A surprise check on sale of prohibited and expired food was conducted at Basic Education High School in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region this morning.

A team including responsible person from Township Department of Consumer Affairs Daw Zin Mar Nwe, an official from the Township General Administration Department and departmental personnel made an inspection on sale of prohibited and expired food and prohibited toys at the stalls opened in the school. 

Then, an official from the Department of Consumer Affairs shared knowledge on Consumer Protection Law with the shopkeepers and urged them to abide by the law. Next, the officials disseminated pamphlets concerning the law.
