TANINTHAYI Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo met departmental officials, busi­nesspeople, and residents at the Kyunyadana Hall of the Kyunsu Township General Administra­tion Department on 9 May to dis­cuss matters related to township development.

They then visited Pyi Phyo Tun Company Limited in Kattalu Village to observe the construc­tion of a 24-hour solar battery system, as well as the installa­tion of power facilities and solar panels. During the visit, cash donations were presented to Basic Education High School (Kattalu), Post-Primary School (Hteinchaung), and Middle School (Mayanchaung).

Afterwards, he visited the basic and advanced mari­time youth training camp and presented cash awards to the trainees. He also observed the trainees’ rowing exercises, the construction of a tubeless motor­cycle tyre factory by Pho Lamin Trading Co Ltd in Kayin Village, and the operations of the OK Yadana Rice Mill in Kyaukphya Village, including the drying, milling, cleaning, and packag­ing of locally produced rice for domestic distribution and sale in Myeik Township. — Khaing Htoo (IPRD)/TH
