Tatkon Township in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory has surpassed its sesame cultivation target, planting 1,624 acres against the planned 1,211 acres.
The Township Agriculture Department is promoting high-quality sesame varieties to boost oil production and improve farmers' livelihoods.
Efforts include training, efficient irrigation, use of modern machinery, and improved farming techniques. Agricultural seminars are also being held to educate farmers on crop disease prevention and modern practices. — Tin Soe Lwin
