With the aim of ensuring the emergence of market economy from Myanmar’s  economic policy, a ceremony to open the Taunggyi Expo 2019 was held at Myodaw hall in Taunggyi, Shan State this morning.

Shan State Hluttaw Speaker U Sai Lone Sai and Taunggyi Expo Company Managing Director U Aung Phone Myint and Daw Thida Shein Win opened the event by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and then inspected the booths put on display inside and outside of the hall.

There are 210 booths altogether—130 booths and 80 company booths at the expo. The Taunggyi expo contains entertainments, sales of domestics, electronic appliance, cosmetics, clothes and others and its will run from 25 February to 3 March.--Maung Maung Than (Taunggyi)
