TAUNGGYI witnessed a bustling scene at its famous pagodas on 12 February, which marked Union Day as well as a full moon day of Tabodwe.
As the day holds special significance for Buddhists, visitors flocked to pagodas and stupas, the pride of the city. The well-known pagodas of Taunggyi, such as the Culamuni Lokachantha Pagoda, Shwephonepwint Pagoda and Myaseintaung Pagoda, along with popular relaxation spots like the Bogyoke Park, were filled with both pilgrims and visitors who gathered to pay homage and engage in relaxation activities. — Sai Than Kyaw (Taunggyi IPRD)/KZL
