ACCORDING to Pwintbyu Town-ship Irrigation and Water Utili-sation  Department  water  over  flowing  above  the  Kyi  Ohn  Gyi  Wa Dam spillway was found to be 5 ft. 8 inches at 6 am on 17 August and this was not an amount to be concerned for.

According to news released by Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Myanmar Police Force, AA/TNLA/MNDAA armed groups mined and destroyed bridges on Hsenwi-Kunlong Road, torched a petrol station on Lashio-Hsenwi Road, fired on Lashio with heavy arms and also fired on Tatmadaw columns and police stations.
